    An ASHP is a heating and cooling system that extracts heat from the outdoor air and transfers it indoors or vice versa, depending on the season. It operates on the principle of refrigeration, similar to a refrigerator but in reverse.

    During colder months, it absorbs heat from the outdoor air and delivers it inside to warm the building. In warmer months, it removes heat from indoor air and releases it outside to cool the building.
