We were thrilled at to see Agar Grove, our regeneration development in Camden created for Camden Council, come home with two awards at the London Planning Awards last week!

The accolades included:

  • Winner – The Mayor’s Award for Sustainable and Environmental Planning
  • Winner – The Mayor’s Award for Good Growth

Agar Grove is an estate regeneration development, and is part of Camden’s Community Investment Programme, in partnership with the London Borough of Camden. The development is part of a 15-year plan to invest money in schools, homes and community facilities, and Hill are delivering the first two phases of the six phase project. It is set to be the largest Passivhaus development in the UK, with the first 38 completed homes successfully achieving this standard in May 2018.

London First CEO, Jasmine Whitbread, commented:

“Agar Grove is a deserved winner because it acts as a vision for what the future of inner-city regeneration looks like, and is a first-class example of how sustainable, community-led housing projects can further enrich our city”.

Deputy Mayor for Planning, Regeneration and Skills, Jules Pipe, said:

“Agar Grove is a great example of how estate regeneration should be done: helping existing residents play an active role in shaping the future of their neighbourhood and ensuring the development works both for them and for future residents”.

Many congratulations to all involved for these impressive accolades.
