Homes for military personnel completed at Tidworth!
We are extremely pleased to announce that our Tidworth development, consisting of 322 new homes for the Ministry of Defence, has officially completed, and residents have now moved in to their new homes!
The collection of new homes were delivered under the Army Basing Programme, a joint Army and Defence Infrastructure programme, which is providing homes to service personnel and their families.
The development encompasses a mix of three and four bedroom houses, which were designed to complement the existing properties in the area, incorporating the red brick and traditional roof style of its surroundings. There is also a play area and a number of open public spaces. The project required delivering 322 homes within 20 months, and was delivered ahead of programme.
The Minister for Defence Procurement, Guto Bebb, recently attended an event to mark the completion of the development, meeting residents and listening to their experience of living in the new homes.
The Defence Estate is where our serving personnel live, work and train. It’s not just a place to live, but a community and it is essential that our Armed Forces families can feel at home wherever they are posted. That is why I am proud to support this new development of first class homes for those who sacrifice the most for our nation.
It has been an honour to work closely with the Ministry of Defence (MOD) on this extremely worthwhile project, which will eventually be home to more than 300 soldiers and their families in Wiltshire. The team is very proud to have delivered these properties ahead of schedule and in line with the MOD’s budget, requirements and high standards. We hope the service personnel enjoy their new homes.
