Built to last and backed by warranty
By following the New Homes Quality Code and providing warranties, we make sure your new home is protected, and you’re supported throughout the journey. Here’s what’s covered and when:
- Before handover: Built to current building regulations
Every home is built to today’s standards for insulation, fire safety and energy efficiency – requirements that older housing stock was never built to meet and can’t always be retrofitted to. - Pre-handover: The commissioning checklist
Before the keys are handed over, your home undergoes a full commissioning checklist that checks every detail. - Final check: Ready to move in
A further ready-to-move-in check confirms your home is prepared for your arrival. - Years 1-2: Full warranty cover
Our home warranty covers your first two years, with our Customer Service team only a call or email away, giving you complete peace of mind as you settle in. - Years 3-10: Structural warranty cover
Years three to 10 are covered by structural warranty protection, safeguarding you against any major issues long after you’ve moved in.

Can I customise a new build before I move in?
Hill homes come with a high specification as standard, including fitted kitchens and modern bathrooms. Depending on the build stage, you may be able to customise select finishes.
Are new builds more energy-efficient than older homes?
Yes. Hill homes are built with modern insulation, glazing and energy-efficient appliances, saving buyers an average of £420 a year on bills compared with older homes.
What’s included in the price of a new build?
Your Hill home includes a fitted kitchen and bathroom, energy-efficient appliances and low-energy lighting as standard, with no need for costly upgrades after you move in.
