The Public Sector Challenge is an initiative started by Jonathan Stephenson, CEO of Brentwood and Rochford Councils, to raise funds for Cancer Research UK. It began in 2022 with council teams participating in tough outdoor events, before growing to include nationwide private-sector partners.

This event was not only a test of physical endurance but also a platform to help make a real difference in the lives of everyday people who are battling cancer. The funds raised through The Hill Group’s participation will go to supporting essential research which will help to drive innovation and better treatments in the fight against cancer.

The team were fantastic and really dug deep to complete the challenge in 12 hours. We are so grateful to everyone who supported us, and delighted to have raised over £12,000 for such an important cause that touches so many of our lives. This achievement reminds us that our commitment to making a difference goes far beyond just building houses.
