Cambridge Investment Partnership (CIP), an equal partnership between Cambridge City Council and Hill, is pleased to announce the launch of Ironworks!

The stunning collection of contemporary houses and maisonettes, with apartments coming soon, are located on vibrant Mill Road in Cambridge, placing residents in the heart of the action.

Mill Road, an eight-minute walk from Cambridge station, is known for its rich history and eclectic offering, combining a selection of independent boutiques, international shops and Parker’s Piece – a community favourite famous for its local fayres.

Ironworks is located in the midst of all that Mill Road has to offer, with the contemporary design of the new buildings perfectly complementing the traditional Victorian architecture of the surrounding area. With striking finishes both inside and out, buyers will be making a fantastic investment in an already flourishing and thriving area, moments from the city centre.

CIP has ensured that all homes are finished to high specifications, including stylish kitchens complete with energy-efficient integrated Bosch and Zanussi appliances, as well as Caesarstone worktops. Bathrooms are fitted with dark wood effect vanity tops and Hansgrohe taps and showers, and each unit comprises large windows, many of which span from floor to ceiling, maximising natural light.

Accessibility won’t be an issue for residents – whether by car, bike, foot or use of public transport, Ironworks offers easy access across the city and further afield. A walk to the city centre takes just over 10-minutes, and Cambridge Train Station is just a 2-minute cycle away, offering train services to locations such as London’s Kings Cross in 50 minutes.

For avid cyclists or those who enjoy an active lifestyle, Ironworks will be a key link on the newly proposed Chisholm Trail – a walking and cycling route that will prioritise the safety of pedestrians and cyclists by providing an off-road and traffic-free route between Cambridge Station and Cambridge North Station. To facilitate this, the development comprises 326 secure resident cycle parking spaces, with a further 64 visitor cycle spaces.

A vast range of ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted rated schools are also in close proximity to the development, for families looking to settle in one of Ironwork’s spacious houses. St Matthew’s Primary School is just a 10-minute walk away, St Albans Catholic School is a 17-minute walk and Hills Road Sixth Form College can be reached in 23-minutes.

As part of the Ironworks development, CIP is working in partnership with a group of artists who have been specially commissioned to deliver a public art programme inspired by the history of the site and the local community. Looking to explore and articulate what makes this part of Cambridge unique and special for the local residents, artists will be hosting a range of talks, walks, workshops and much more over the next few years. The activities and stories collected will inform the design and character of Ironworks.

Ironworks will launch to the market on Sunday 13th October, and will offer a collection of three and four-bedroom houses, with apartments coming soon. Three-bedroom houses will start from £599,950. To find out more information about the development, visit https://www.ironworks-cambridge.co.uk.
