Our Senior Team
Andy is the founder and Group Chief Executive of Hill. A chartered Builder by profession with over 45 years of experience in the housebuilding sector. Andy started his career as a Surveyor but soon moved into production roles before becoming a senior manager then Managing Director by the time he was 28. Andy was a pioneer in the development of public and private sector partnerships and for the first 25 years of his career, specialised in the delivery of affordable housing. Andy founded Hill in 1999, which is now listed as the third largest privately owned UK Housebuilder, delivering multi award-winning homes across a range of tenures, from landmark mixed-use regeneration schemes, smart inner-city apartments to modern rural developments. Customer satisfaction and local engagement is at the heart of every project, focusing on innovative ways of working to deliver outstanding developments for both Hill and our partners.
Andy’s approach has always been one of delivering best in service, growing Hill by retaining customers and prioritising their every request, gaining mush repeat business and building a reputation for going that extra mile. Andy runs a very open and transparent business model, which specialises in Joint Ventures and this culture is deeply engrained throughout the business from top to bottom.
Greg leads a number of our business units, where he is responsible for delivery of projects from inception to completion. He is a member of our holdings board and retains responsibility for group strategy, procedures and policy, and also leads our sustainability and social value initiatives.
Greg supports a number of our land acquisitions, in particular major acquisitions and joint venture projects. Greg has devised and led on some of our largest and most successful partnerships and sits on many of our joint venture boards ensuring our partnership ethos is uphold. Greg is also responsible for representing the firm at an industry level.
Before joining Hill seven years ago, Greg worked in the financial services sector advising major institutions on key strategic and policy matters and risk management initiatives.
Tom sits on the main Board of Directors and leads the production, commercial and technical disciplines of our Investment Partnerships, delivering new housing regeneration initiatives in city centres and local communities.
Tom joined Hill as a management trainee in 2006 and has developed his career with the business, gaining his MCIOB through the Hill Management Trainee Programme. Tom was awarded the NHBC’s Pride in the Job Quality Award, a Seal of Excellence and was the youngest finalist and overall winner of the Eastern Region’s Multi Storey category award, the highest industry accolade a Project Manager can receive. Having risen through the ranks to Regional Director, Tom set up the Cambridge Investment Partnership and leads his team from pre-construction stage through to successful completion, including customer service. With a programme of in excess of 2,500 homes in total, Tom is focusing on delivering to programme, quality, design, cost and environmental management controls, along with many other initiatives. Tom also leads in the delivery of community engagement activities and local employment initiatives, together with diversity and inclusion as well as Hill’s Foundation200 project and our Women into Construction programme.
Naisha brings wide-ranging experience to hill following roles at Homes England and the Department of International Trade where she served as a senior advisor. She was also a NED for Cambridge University’s North West Cambridge 3000 home new urban neighbourhood.
Naisha has also recently been appointed as the new Director for Harlow & Gilston Garden Town partnership, designated by the government as a Garden Town in 2017, which aims to prioritise community, sustainability and regeneration and will deliver 16,000 new homes by 2033 with 7,000 in the years that follow. It is a pioneering public sector partnership across five local authorities and the second largest growth area in the south of England, setting the agenda for sustainable living.
Ernie provides strategic advice to Hill, utilising his experience in the banking sector, property development and public/private partnerships. He reviews performance, challenges strategy and offers guidance to achieving business goals and objectives.
Ernie brings an independent perspective to the Investment Partnership opportunities, having developed bespoke funding methods for a range of high profile clients. He has been instrumental in agreeing the mechanism to structure the Investment Partnership with Cambridge City Council and Rushmoor Borough Council and a range of others in the pipeline.
Ann brings extensive experience of governance from more than 35 years in the social housing sector to Hill.
Ann was CEO of Sovereign Housing for 18 years and her impressive contribution to social housing was recognised through the award of CBE in 2012. She was also Chief Executive of Swaythling Housing Society – now part of Abri – and deputy chair of the National Housing Federation. She is currently Chair of the Barnwood Trust and Senior Independent Director of The States of Jersey Development Company.
Neil leads the Group’s finance team and is responsible for the company’s financial procedures, Group IT and Human Resources.
A chartered accountant, with the past 24 years in the property industry, Neil has an excellent track record in both the private for sale and affordable sectors, including construction and property maintenance. Neil manages a central team responsible for all cashflow management, treasury function and Group management information and financial reporting. Neil is experienced in corporate acquisitions and integration.
Kieran has over 45 years’ experience in the construction industry, mainly in the social housing and public sector. He has a wealth of experience of all forms of construction techniques including MMC.
Joining Hill in 2003, Kieran has worked with many of the leading housing associations in the country. Kieran takes a highly strategic approach which is geared to achieving the objectives of all stakeholders.
Rebecca leads our in-house sales and marketing team responsible for the sales of our new homes, from the concept stage to completion - while delivering a 5 star customer journey throughout the process. Rebecca has been instrumental in evolving our brand to reflect the breadth of our activities, with an absolute focus on quality.
Rebecca joined Hill in 2020, following more than 13 years’ at Director level, as Regional Sales and Marketing Director at Barratt Developments and as Sales and Marketing Director at London Square, where she built the London Square brand and worked on a range of high-profile, award-winning schemes across the capital. She has extensive experience of devising a creative marketing strategy and leading the team to successful delivery, differentiating product, maximising sales rates and financial return. She has led on the introduction of virtual tours and other innovative digital tools across all our developments.
Simon has extensive experience working with local authorities and housing associations delivering award-winning developments with high sustainability credentials, including Passivhaus. Simon leads on the production, commercial and technical disciplines to ensure successful delivery for our contracting developments.
Joining Hill in 2011 Simon has led on many of our estate regeneration developments including 399 mixed tenure homes at New Union Wharf estate, Isle of Dogs and 425 mixed tenure homes at Rectory Park, Ealing. He has also been involved in Agar Grove estate regeneration in Camden, which was awarded The Mayor’s Award for Sustainable and Environmental Planning, and The Mayor’s Award for Good Growth at the London Planning Awards.
Andy oversees developments in the North and South of London, from pre-planning to on-site delivery. Andy is Managing Director of Special Projects and is also overseeing the company expansion into the South-west.
Andy joined Hill from Countryside where, as Managing Director of Partnerships, he had great success overseeing substantial growth and securing new business. He has a wealth of experience working with partnerships with councils and housing associations to deliver estate renewal and working on complex multi-phased developments, providing leadership, project management skills and full end to end delivery capability, from securing new work to managing the process of customers moving into their new homes.
David has overarching strategic responsibility for delivery in the Southern and Major Projects divisions focusing on providing leadership, support during land acquisition and planning stage and control of the project as it moves from planning to the construction stage.
Joining Hill five years ago, he has worked in the construction and housebuilding industry for a number of leading companies including Barratt Developments and The Berkeley Group for over 30 years, and has delivered a range of traditional housing schemes and mixed use projects, from low to high rise developments, throughout the south-east and London. Cambridge and Eastern Counties. He has delivered two schemes in joint venture partnership.
With over 30 years’ experience, Rob is an expert in land acquisition and drives our planning and development delivery.
Before joining Hill in 2005, Rob worked in private practice, advising landowners and developers on land and development across the South-east. He takes a leading strategic role overseeing investment across the group, ensuring residential and mixed use schemes deliver the best financial return. His focus is on aligning partners’ goals, building a long-term relationship, based on the partners’ objectives.
Jamie is a qualified planning and development surveyor, with an excellent track record in mixed tenure estate transformation and partnership developments in London and the south east. Having worked for Hill for over 14 years, he is passionate about working collaboratively and has been at the forefront of forming joint ventures with our key partners.
He has led on our estate regeneration joint ventures with housing associations in Barnet and Brent. Jamie has also led on mixed use developments with local authorities including The Scene with Waltham Forest Council, which acted as a catalyst for further town centre investment, as well as a borough wide initiative of over 30 sites with Ealing Council. This has enabled him to demonstrate the benefits of our innovative Investment Partnership model to maximise returns from Council assets.
Tony is responsible for managing relationships with our funders, negotiating and securing funding on all our developments.
A Chartered Accountant by background, Tony joined Hill in 2009, bringing extensive experience within the housebuilding and development sector. He has overall responsibility for our development financial procedures, including performance and cash flow projections with a view to strengthening long-term relationships with partners. Tony has secured project funding for Hill for more than 50 developments, requiring debt of over £400m, as well as negotiating our Group corporate £200m Revolving Credit Facility.
Amanda leads our in house legal team. A qualified solicitor with over 30 years’ experience and with an enviable track record in the affordable housing sector before joining Hill seven years ago.
Amanda is responsible for overseeing all legal aspects and works closely with all teams, particularly with our land/bid teams during contract negotiation. Amanda has advised on over 15 joint ventures for Hill.
