Newly engaged Leonard and Dawn have found their dream home at Knights Park, Eddington. They love its modern design, green spaces, and vibrant community.

A Dream Home for Newlyweds-to-Be

Newly engaged couple, Leonard Chieng and Dawn Lok, are overjoyed that they have found their dream home in the sought-after neighbourhood of Knights Park in Eddington, just outside the centre of Cambridge. As first-time buyers, the couple were looking to take their first step on the property ladder in a location that was quieter than the city centre but still had a vibrant community at its heart. Their new two-bedroom apartment at Fusion in Knights Park offers all of this and more, and now Leonard and Dawn are so excited to begin the next chapter of their lives together here.

From Renting to Owning: The Next Step

After spending over a year renting beside Cambridge’s green space of Parker’s Piece, Leonard and Dawn enjoyed being close to nature but felt it was time to purchase their own home that better suited their lifestyle. They wanted a calmer setting, away from the constant hustle and bustle, yet still convenient for their daily commutes. Leonard, an NHS doctor, and Dawn, a scientist at the Cambridge Biomedical Campus, soon discovered that life in Eddington offers the perfect balance.

"Life here feels calm but connected. It’s thriving, yet there’s a relaxed rhythm to it. We can stay busy at our own pace while still enjoying everything that one of the world’s most famous cities has to offer. Moving here has given us a new lifestyle, and we’re really starting to feel a true sense of belonging in this flourishing part of Cambridge.”

Leonard continues: “When we first visited Knights Park, we loved seeing all the green space - it almost felt rural. Eddington is a very desirable place to live in Cambridge, and for our commutes, it is ideal. We are so close to the M11 and can both be at work in under 20 minutes. There is also a convenient bus from the development, which heads right into the city centre - it’s all on our doorstep.”

Knights Park: Modern, Sustainable Living

Knights Park is a visionary new development from The Hill Group, bringing sustainable living to homes that boast a striking and contemporary aesthetic. Situated within the thriving new neighbourhood of Eddington, this desirable setting offers residents all the benefits of living in a close-knit community, along with a highly convenient location, just under two miles outside of Cambridge city centre. Knights Park is designed to suit every lifestyle, offering first-class amenities such as a hotel, coffee shop, primary school, and a lively market square where the community can come together. Residents also enjoy expansive green spaces, perfect for relaxation and recreation.

Fusion is an exclusive collection of apartments at Knights Park offering flexible open-plan layouts, spacious bedrooms, and private balconies or terraces overlooking a shared courtyard garden. Like all of Knights Park, sustainability is at the core of Fusion, with triple-glazed windows, high insulation, and energy-efficient appliances. Solar PV panels power communal spaces, while Mechanical Ventilation Heat Recovery provides each home with fresh, filtered air – creating a comfortable, eco-friendly sanctuary.

First Impressions and Home Comforts

Leonard adds, “Knights Park stood out to us because of its strong focus on contemporary design and comfort. When we walked into the show apartment, I was instantly impressed with the high-quality of the build and all the innovative and efficient fixtures and fittings that came with the property. We previously rented an older property, so having somewhere brand new is not only stress-free, but also very special. It allows us to put our stamp on a fresh canvas straight away, and the home felt like ours very quickly.”

Dawn says: “We’ve upsized to a two-bedroom apartment from a one-bedroom home, and having the extra spaces feels fantastic. Our apartment is on the ground floor, and my favourite part is how the outside space opens directly onto the courtyard garden between the two buildings. It creates a feeling of bringing the outside in, and it also makes for a beautiful view!”

“One of the biggest reasons we chose Knights Park was the sense of community. Compared to other developments we looked at, Knights Park felt the most welcoming, with plenty of events and opportunities to get involved. As a keen runner, I’ve already signed up for the Cambridge Half Marathon next spring, and the weekly Park Run here is perfect for training. I’m excited to spend my weekends keeping fit while meeting new neighbours.”

Dawn adds: “There’s a R3FORM studio just a short walk away from our new apartment, and I’m excited to start taking classes there, as I love Reformer Pilates. Leonard will hopefully join me too, so it’s something we can do together as a couple in our new neighbourhood.”
