Our award-winning development on the southern fringe of Cambridge, Ninewells, provides a beautiful rural community within commuting distance of the city centre –  the perfect setting for the Wildschut family, who after years of searching, decided on moving to Ninewells for their dream home!

Karen, Dr Karel Wildschut and their two children moved in to their stylish three bedroom apartment at Ninewells earlier this year, with their home benefitting from underfloor heating, floor-to-ceiling windows and a private balcony. Pictured is Dr Karel Wildschut and his children in their open-plan living and dining-room area.

Having lived in the New Forest for many years, relocating to Cambridge for work was a great opportunity, but also a big change, as we were used to being surrounded by green and beautiful landscapes. We ended up renting for a couple of years while we searched for somewhere that combined a rural feel with and easy commute for work and the school run. We have come close to buying a couple of properties although they sadly didn’t quite tick all the boxes, until we arrived at Ninewells. Our first impression was – wow! It is so open and beautifully landscaped, you really feel like you are in the middle of the countryside, but in fact, you’re a ten minute cycle from the city centre. The architecture of the buildings is also really intriguing and beautiful; they are like nothing we had seen on the market. We knew immediately that we had to live here and we’ve never looked back. Life is just so easy at Ninewells. The property is designed with family life at its core, so it is incredibly functional as well as being beautiful to look at. While we had initially intended to buy a bigger property, there is a huge amount of space and the design is very clever so you feel like you can get away from people and have quiet moments – which is ideal for our older children! Because we are so close to everything, it is also a very social house for the kids and we just love the neighbours too, everyone is so friendly.

Located within a 12 minute cycle from the city centre and train station, the homes at Ninewells offer a balance for those who enjoy working in the bustling city-centre and relaxing with the family next to the countryside.

The most recent properties to launch at Ninewells include 16 contemporary three-bedroom apartments, as well as 14 spacious four and five bedroom homes, with select properties having breath-taking views of the Gog Magog Hills.

To further enhance the development, Ninewells has a number of art installations installed, the most recent of which being Cluster, a sculpture created by artist Laura Ellen Bacon. The installation uses classic steam-bending techniques to reflect the nature within the development.

The two bedroom apartments at Ninewells are available from £430,000 and four bedroom houses start from £720,000. To find out more about the development, visit our website or call 01223 792 000.
