We are extremely excited that Keepers Green, our development in Chichester, launches on this weekend! The development was created in partnership with Homes England to fast-track its delivery, and will provide 160 new homes to the area.

Keepers Green will consist of 48 one and two bedroom apartments, 111 two, three and four bedroom detached and semi-detached houses, and the refurbishment of a local farmhouse. Of the new homes, 112 will be for private sale and 48 will be available through shared ownership and affordable rent.

Keepers Green will be a multi-generational neighbourhood, with the one and two bedroom apartments ideal for first time buyers, young professionals and downsizers looking to relocate from their country home to a new build with little maintenance required within closer proximity to the city centre. The two, three and four bedroom houses provide the perfect space for growing families, couples and those moving to the area.

The homes have been designed to a high specification, with the houses and apartments offering contemporary and bespoke kitchens, and bathrooms with dark wood effect vanity tops. The houses come complete with paved patio and garden areas, while the apartments host their own private balcony or terrace areas. Each of the homes also benefit from energy-efficient appliances, double glazing and allocated parking spaces.

Keepers Green is located just a 20 minute walk or a short bus ride from Chichester’s historic city centre, which is home to Roman walls, a majestic cathedral, Chichester Festival Theatre and the Novium Museum, as well as an array of fantastic independent restaurants, pubs, bars and boutique stores. The world-famous Goodwood House and sporting estate is also just a 16 minute cycle away, while Chichester Harbour, one of the south’s most popular sailing destinations and home to rare wildlife, is just 24 minutes away by car from the development. Direct trains from Chichester train station can also transport residents to London Victoria in just over 90 minutes.

Known for the high standards of its educational institutions, the area offers a wide selection of primary and independent schools, including Jessie Younghusband and Westbourne House School, both of which have been rated as ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted, as well as an award-winning secondary schools such as Chichester High School and Bishop Luffa. The University of Chichester is also just a 20 minute walk from the development

The development in Lower Graylingwell, Chichester, is part of Homes England’s Direct Commissioning Initiative, which is designed to enable the Government to fast-track the building of homes on publicly owned land to diversify housing delivery. With construction already underway, the first residents are expected to move into their new homes from Spring 2019.

Our homes at Keepers Green mark a significant milestone for both Hill and the wider industry, as we team up with Homes England to launch our new community in Chichester as part of the Direct Commissioning Initiative. “With commitment from Government to fast-track the building of high quality, design-led homes, we are able to provide first-time buyers, downsizers and families alike with stylish apartments and houses in approximately two years. This means the community of Keepers Green will be complete quicker than other new build developments. “These new homes are located in the ideal spot for those wanting to be within less than 20 miles from the sea but also just a short stroll from the historic city centre and we look forward to welcoming our new residents.

Greg Hill, Deputy Chief Executive at Hill
