We are thrilled to share that we have been awarded with three accolades at the Evening Standard New Homes Awards 2020!
Fish Island Village reeled in two of the three accolades, being named Best Large Development and being highly commended for Best Regeneration. To win the Best Large Development award, Fish Island Village needed to prove it‘s status as an exciting new neighbourhood, bringing amenities and even workplaces as well as stunning places to live.
Offering creative workspaces through The Trampery, Fish Island Village is a campus for innovation, providing more than 50,000 square feet of studio space. The studios are low rent spaces for recipients of the British Fashion Council’s NEWGEN initiative to support growing fashion labels. Alongside the dedicated fashion facilities, there are also 31 studios dedicated to creatives already established in the Fish Island and Hackney Wick community.
Residents at Fish Island Village also benefit from an on-site gym and concierge service, public amenity spaces and a new community square. Those who purchase in the Lanthorn Building, set to launch on October 3rd, can also enjoy a communal rooftop garden and planters to exercise their green thumbs.
We’re also extremely proud that Athena was the winner of the Development of Outstanding Architectural Merit award. Ranging from apartments to family houses, the different home types at Athena were designed in collaboration by award-winning architects Pollard Thomas Edwards and Stirling Prize winner Alison Brooks.
Each decision by the architects was made with the wellbeing of people and the environment in mind. The homes, streetscape and landscape draw on Cambridge’s rich heritage, and all fit in with Eddington’s sustainable ethos. Whether it’s large windows, high ceilings, clean lines and spacious interiors or carefully considered landscaping and engaging patterns of avenues and streets, Athena’s design reflects the city’s heritage while creating a contemporary neighbourhood design for today.
